What I Did

My role as the web developer was to make the entirety of the website. I included many features that were not present in the Zenith Theme such as custom queries, and a new layout for both desktop and mobile. The theme became more targeted and provided a completely different look than what the original theme it was built upon.

The Inception of Faulty Top Ten

I got myself involved because I’m one of those people who enjoy reading and watching top ten lists. When I’m looking for something quick and easy to past the time, my preference would lean towards any sort of list. That’s why Cracked and Buzzfeed is one of my most visited place for this kind of information.

Why Do People Love Top Tens?

Before brainstorming the idea for the website. I had to first look at, why do people love top tens? I found a study that explains that human naturally group things around them in whole numbers. “Nowhere is this tendency toward round numbers more prevalent than on lists, and nowhere are lists more prevalent than on the Internet". It's an interesting theory and explains why Cracked and Buzzfeed is so sucessful.

Building an Audience Base

Each one of us are passionate in what we specialize in. Even though we are experts in drastically different things, we had one goal and that was to surpass our client's expectations. the client got really into the project once we were able to show them our first draft of the video. The excitement and energy we brought during all the meetings with the client really made this project a blast to work on.
